What’s three steps above a basic blue jean but a smidge less risky than printed PJ trousers? Striped pants – and they are right on trend. Some of Hollywood’s most trendsetting style stars have been wearing these bold bottoms in the past few weeks.
And there are as many ways to wear this look as there are stripe styles. Hilary Duff went for a skintight, zipper-adorned pair of jeans while Piper Perabo picked a ’70s-rocker-esque flared Joseph pair with circus-tent stripes. Rosie Huntington-Whitely paired pinstriped pants with a loose top and heels, while Nicole Richie went bold with a baggy, slouchy pair that contrasted her print top. Between the slimming vertical stripes, the comfy fit and the versatile black-and-white color palette, these could end up being your favorite pants.
